Rev. Eric Lee has been threatened by the national Southern Christian Leadership Conference with termination as president of the Los Angeles SCLC chapter due to his public support of marriage equality. Rev. Lee is fighting their attempts to fire him for his activism in the wake of Prop 8′s passage.
Julian Bond of NAACP supports equality as a civil rights issue. They share the vision of Dr. ML King Jr.
